About Rotary Kiln

Our high temperature Rotary Kiln is known for its durability, efficiency, and longevity. It is a rotating cylindrical vessel which is used for calcination, drying and sintering in a constant process with the use of hot gases. Mainly used for cement,  sponge iron, pet coke calcination and other materials, Rotary Kiln is mainly used for hot gases for the operation. In addition to techniques or technology, its design features better inlet & outlet sealing to make sure minimum false air entry.

Application Area

  • Cement & construction
  • Non-ferrous metals
  • Lime
  • Ferrous metal
  • Refractory materials
  • Industrial chemicals
  • Paper making industries

Rotary Kiln Is A Kind Of Thermal Equipment Calcines Lump, Bulk And Slurry Materials. It Is Widely Used In Cement & Construction, Non-Ferrous Metals, Lime, Ferrous Metals, Refractory Materials, Industrial Chemicals, Paper Making Industries Etc.

According To The Material Types To Be Processed, Rotary Kiln Can Be Divided Into Cement Kiln, Metallurgical Chemistry Kiln And Limestone Kiln.

The Kiln Is A Cylindrical Vessel, Inclined Slightly To The Horizontal, Which Is Rotated Slowly About Its Axis. The Material To Be Processed Is Fed Into The Upper End Of The Cylinder. As The Kiln Rotates, Material Gradually Moves Down Towards The Lower End, And May Undergo A Certain Amount Of Stirring And Mixing. Hot Gases Pass Along The Kiln, Usually In The Opposite Direction (Counter-Current). The Hot Gases May Be Generated In An External Furnace, Or May Be Generated By A Flame Inside The Kiln. Such A Flame Is Projected From A Burner-Pipe Which Acts Like A Large Bunsen Burner. The Fuel For This May Be Gas, Oil, Pulverized Petroleum Coke Or Pulverized Coal.

Superior Material and Construction

This rotary kiln is crafted from robust mild steel or stainless steel, with a shell thickness of 12mm to 40mm, ensuring long-term durability and resistance to thermal and mechanical stresses. The internal lining consists of high-temperature refractory bricks, which enable the unit to efficiently withstand extremes up to 1450C.

Advanced Drive and Control Options

Available with single or double drive types, our rotary kiln allows for precise rotational speeds (0.52 rpm), ensuring uniform heating and product quality. Choose between a programmable PLC or manual control system to match your operational preferences and automation needs.

Flexible Capacity and Customization

Designed for versatility, this industrial-grade kiln can be manufactured in varying sizes, from 10m to 100m in length and 1.6m to 4.2m in diameter. Capacity ranges between 50 TPD and 600 TPD, accommodating small to large-scale production. Fuel options include coal, gas, or oil, adapting easily to your infrastructure.

FAQs of Rotary Kiln:

Q: How does the rotary kiln ensure uniform heating of materials?

A: The kiln utilizes a combination of adjustable rotation speed (0.52 rpm), advanced refractory brick lining, and precise airflow design (counter-current or co-current), which ensures even heat distribution throughout the kiln shell and improves overall product consistency.

Q: What are the main applications for this rotary kiln?

A: This rotary kiln is ideal for processing cement, lime, metallurgical ores, chemicals, and refractory materials, thanks to its high-temperature capacity and customizable features.

Q: When should I opt for PLC control versus manual control in the kilns operation?

A: PLC control is best suited for automated, complex, or large-scale operations where precision, safety interlocks, and remote monitoring are essential. Manual control may be preferred for smaller facilities or when hands-on adjustments are frequently needed.

Q: Where can the kiln be installed, and is installation support available?

A: The rotary kiln can be installed at any industrial site equipped for cement, lime, chemical, or metallurgical processing. Professional installation service is available to ensure proper setup and optimal operation.

Q: What benefits does the kilns high-temperature refractory lining provide?

A: The high-temperature refractory bricks protect the kiln shell from direct heat and chemical exposure, enhance energy efficiency by minimizing heat loss, and extend the operational lifespan of the unit.

Q: How is the kilns capacity and size adapted to specific project needs?

A: The kiln is fully customizable in terms of dimensions (length and diameter) and daily capacity (50 TPD to 600 TPD), ensuring an exact fit for any projects throughput, space constraints, and processing requirements.
