About Screw Conveyor
Screw Conveyors that are widely used in both horizontal and vertical applications for conveying variety of material. Screw outer shell is made from round solid Pipe OR U-trough. Inner Screw flights welded on heavy-duty pipe. Both end is connected to screw pipe, rotates on bearings fixed in bearing housing. Material leakage is prevented by stuffing box. Screw is rotated through suitable size gearbox, motor, coupling and sprockets. Hanger bearing is placed in between at adequate distance for smooth rotation of longer screw.

Versatile Material Handling SolutionsOur screw conveyors cater to a wide range of industries, efficiently transporting powders, grains, and bulk solids in challenging environments. Durable construction using mild or stainless steel ensures resistance to abrasion and corrosion. The conveyors can be customized for various lengths, screw pitches, and discharge points, offering optimum performance for your application.
Minimal Maintenance and Robust DesignWith a simple yet sturdy design, our screw conveyors require minimal upkeep. Heavy-duty pillow block bearings and polished or painted finishes protect against wear and tear, while reliable direct or chain coupling drives guarantee consistent performance, even in abrasive or corrosive settings.
Flexible Installation and CustomizationChoose between floor or ceiling mounting, horizontal, inclined, or vertical material flow, as well as custom discharge locations to suit your facility. Each conveyor is designed to meet specific application needs, ensuring seamless integration into existing workflows.
FAQs of Screw Conveyor:
Q: How do I select the appropriate screw diameter and pitch for my application?
A: The ideal screw diameter (100 mm to 500 mm) and pitch are chosen based on material type, flow rate, and required load capacity. Our engineers assist by evaluating your material characteristics and processing needs to ensure optimal conveyor performance.
Q: What materials and finishes are available for these screw conveyors?
A: Depending on your environment, the conveyors can be constructed from mild steel or stainless steel, with options for a polished or painted finish. These materials are selected for their corrosion and abrasion resistance, suitable for harsh industrial settings.
Q: Where can the discharge port be located on the conveyor?
A: The discharge port can be custom-placed anywhere along the conveyors length to match your exact process flow. This flexibility allows seamless material transfer and efficient integration into your production line.
Q: What maintenance is required, and how often should it be performed?
A: Thanks to their simple and robust design, these screw conveyors require very little maintenance. Regular checks on the bearings and drive systems are recommended, but overall upkeep is minimal compared to more complex conveying solutions.
Q: When should a vertical configuration be used instead of horizontal or inclined?
A: A vertical screw conveyor is best for moving materials upward where floor space is limited or direct elevation is required. Our design allows versatile orientation adjustments to suit specific process or facility constraints.
Q: What are the advantages of using a screw conveyor for material handling?
A: Screw conveyors provide reliable, continuous movement of bulk materials, support high-temperature and abrasive environments, and allow for customization in size and orientation. Their minimal maintenance and robust build offer long-term operational benefits.
Q: How are screw conveyors powered and what voltage is required?
A: These conveyors are powered by electric motors ranging from 2 to 10 kW, compatible with 220-415 V inputs. The drive type can be direct or through a chain coupling, tailored to your application and power supply.
